Overview
Anthony D. Ong is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Human Health Labs in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University and Professor of Gerontology in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. He received his Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Southern California and completed postdoctoral training in adult development and aging at the University of Notre Dame.
His research examines the dynamic mechanisms that shape vulnerability and adaptation across the lifespan, integrating perspectives from affective science, developmental psychology, and behavioral medicine to clarify how psychological, social, and biological processes influence health and well-being.
Dr. Ong is on sabbatical (2025–2026) as a visiting faculty in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Harvard University.
